Diamond dialled or bezelled vintage Omega Constellations are not the norm, but they were produced in limited quantities.

A terrific essay on Diamond Connies, Desmond.
As usual, I marvel at your ability to ferret out obscure facts and photos which are so very informative and which greatly add to the enjoyment of collecting Constellations.
    Keep up the good work.

    Hi Sir,
I'm new to Omega and chanced upon yr blog through one of the forum. I'm wondering, if i buy those current model of constellation, will they be popular 50yrs down the road liked the 1950s vintage watch now? in terms of workmanships, are they poorer than the vintage watch?

    Thanks!

    Regards
    Jen

  4. Hi

I think the Constellations of today, while well made may not have the same allure in 50 years as the 60s Constellations. That is mainly because the Constellation is powered by a movement made by Omegas sister company ETA.

However, I believe that the series to be cherished in 50 years would be the Omega Deville hour vision collection powered by the in-house Omega calibre 8500/8501. It is very special and I believe will become one of the 'grails' of the future.

    Cheers
